Software Product Manager

SUMMARY

AB&R is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Application Consultant for our customer-facing, Specialty Solutions, and Professional Services teams. The Application Consultant provides technical software installation/configuration acumen for both pre-sales and post-sales solution implementations. We seek an experienced professional with strong software background and experience implementing and configuring software packages, data integration, database reporting, and analytics. This individual must understand software system workflow and demonstrate the ability to analyze and recommend optimal workflow adaptations to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions. Our ideal candidate is a self-starting, detail-oriented, committed team player that understands the supply chain industry. This individual will drive business-impacting solutions and must be comfortable working with all levels of corporate leadership. The position will entail working as part of a fast-paced team with engineers, managers, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders, all of whom are committed to delivering amazing customer experiences. An understanding of solution software, database management, and application integration is required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 2-5 years of software consulting experience with enterprise-level packaged software, prefer supply chain focus. Experience includes software configuration and minor customizations.
  • 1-3 years of consulting experience responding to Sales Requests (RFI/RFQ), proposals, assessments, Statements of Work (SOW), and customer discovery.
  • 1-3 years of experience configuring and implementing application APIs with REST services (JSON).
  • 1-3 years of experience configuring and implementing applications with SQL/non-SQL data storage, data persistence, and caching.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting sales and consulting teams with discovery engagements and application requirements development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assist teams in resolving customer problems as needed.
  • Excellent documentation writing skills, including sales presentations, statements of work (SOW), customer requirements, test strategies, and user documentation.
  • Experience with product training, marketing events, new product evaluations, and complex product positioning. Help build sales tools and methods to help the Sales team.
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback. Recommend and execute improvements
  • Knowledge of a full suite of Microsoft Office tools
  • Maintain a gossip-free workplace

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor (preferred) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, advanced technical education from a recognized program or demonstrated specialized knowledge and equivalent work experience.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to use critical thinking skills to evaluate, analyze and synthesize. The ability to be solutions based when presented with a challenge.

TRAVEL

This position is in Phoenix at our Headquarters, and employees must work at the office.
