Honeywell Dolphin 70e Black
The 70e really performance is considered rugged. The device carries IP67 sealing, so it is completely dust and waterproof. Yes, it can even handle immersion. The Dolphin 70e Black can survive 4-foot drops to concrete, operate in extreme temperatures, passes a number of other ruggedness tests. Clearly, the Dolphin 70e Black is a rugged device that will survive where consumer smartphones won’t.
Symbol TC70 Touch Computer
Imager for Corporations – This TC70 is the new generation of imagers providing superior performance on just about any type of data imaginable, from 1D and 2D bar codes to photos and fully searchable and editable legal, letter, A4 and A5 documents. Using the SE4750 has laser aiming, you can scan from up to three feet away, depending on the size of the code. It can also be used in direct sunlight.
The TC70 is larger than the iPhone 6+, but the TC70 is on the heavy side (1.1 inches thick and weighs 13.3 ounces). The weight is due to the industrial-grade scanner, but also remarkable ruggedness. Similar to the Dolphin 70e, it does have the IP67 sealing, which means it can survive a dunk in a puddle. The screen is protected by Corning’s® incomparable Gorilla® Glass 2 so it can handle 6-foot drops to concrete. Motorola gave the TC70 some tough military-grade tests including tumble (2,000 from a height of 3.3 feet!), vibration, thermal shock, humidity, etc. The operating temperature range is -4 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, good enough for use virtually anywhere.
