CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SUMMARY

Our Customer Service Representative engages with external customers and our internal sales team to deliver Amazing Customer Experiences. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Customer Service Representative your responsibilities will include:

  • Advocating on behalf of customers to understand, address, and resolve their product, delivery, and service contract issues quickly and successfully.
  • Entering sales orders into AB&R’s business system within two (2) hours of receipt.
  • Verifying the accuracy of customer orders by reconciling customer purchase orders with internally generated sales orders.
  • Promptly communicating the delivery status of pending orders via email or phone.
  • Following up on open quotes and assisting in managing pipeline assigned to regional team members.
  • Building customers’ confidence in AB&R’s team by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services.
  • Opening and maintaining customer accounts by recording and updating account information.
  • Maintaining customer accounts by processing financial adjustments (RMA’s) as part of the return reconciliation for customers.
  • Preparing product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Exceptionally implementing AB&R’s five core values in your daily workflow.
  • Contributing to our team effort by accomplishing related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVOCATE

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, virtual meeting applications (Zoom, Teams, etc.), and phone systems preferred.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
