SmartCare Service Programs

SmartCare On-site – Mission critical equipment often requires an on-site service technician to service your equipment.  SmartCare on-site service guarantees a visit from a technician within 8 working hours from a call to AB&R’s dispatch team.

SmartCare 1 Day – SmartCare 1 day depot repair guarantees that your equipment is repaired and ship the same day as it arrives in our service depot.

SmartCare 3 Day  – SmartCare 3 day depot repair guarantees that your equipment is repaired and shipped within 3 days of its arrival in our service depot.

SmartCare 5 Day  – SmartCare 5 day depot repair guarantees that your equipment is repaired and shipped within 5 days of its arrival in our service depot.

What is the turnaround time of a repair?  Service agreements generally fall under three available repair times: 1 Day, 3 Day, or 5 Day.  Customer requirements define the term.

What is covered for a printer service contract? Everything except abuse and print head replacement.  In addition to scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) offerings, a PM is performed in the event of any repair to bring your printer to it’s optimal performance.

What is covered for a mobile terminal service contract? Everything except abuse and accessories.  Separate service agreements may cover the accessories.  The latest firmware from the manufacturer will be loaded on the device prior to its return.

What is covered for a scanner service contract? Everything except abuse and cables. Separate service agreements may cover the accessories such as wireless chargers.

Who is responsible for freight? Customer is responsible for freight in and AB&R covers ground freight back.
